We have great news! After a lot of in-house tests, we were finally ready to have a governmental third party test our BCC-Tactical system to make sure it complies to the MIL-STD-810H high and low temperature and IP67 norm.

How we did it?

First things first! We chose components that are all compliant or certified MIL-STD-810H and IP67. It was crucial for us to choose the best available parts to build the toughest and most reliable systems possible.

Our team built the systems while respecting high quality control measures in order to comply the norms we were aiming.

Once the systems were built, we could now do in-house tests. Since we were going to have them tested through extreme conditions, we tried recreating them to do preliminary experiments. It was the final step of our preparation before the final evaluation.

How did the tests happen?

Now that we are confident with the way we sourced the components and how the system was built, it was now time to have the qualified people test the systems. We put the systems in the back our truck and went out to the third-party governmental laboratory for them to do their analysis. Simon, one of our R&D Engineers, was there to make sure everything was functional before and after the tests.

MIL-STD-810H High & Low Temperature Tests:

The BCC-Tactical was submitted to extremely high and low temperatures for a certain number of hours until the system reached the desired temperature for at least two hours. Then Simon needed to do an assessment to confirm that the BCC-Tactical was functional, which it was.

IP67 — Dust-Tight and Waterproof:

For the IP67 ratings, the tests were made without any electrical components in the BCC-Tactical case so the technicians could see if dust and water had entered. For the waterproof test, the system was submerged in water for 30 minutes. On the other side, for the dust-tight test the system was put in a talcum powder-filled chamber and a negative pressure was applied to determine if the seals were tight enough to not let dust enter the case. Both the tests were conclusive.

Why We Did It

Even though we took all the precautions to build systems that would comply with the IP67 norm and MIL-STD-810H standard the certification acts as a pledge of confidence in our solutions. This also confirms that we have chosen the right components and that our systems will work in extreme conditions providing our customers peace of mind.
